Morbius stars Leto and is set to show a lot from the character, including his origin, powers and of course his potential future. The Spider-Man character will be showcased in an attempt to make a comic-book-accurate action film.

For those who don’t know, Morbius typically dons a gothic vampire outfit in the comic books, which is usually both black and red. When asked whether fans would be able to see this outfit, Leto said it won’t be making an appearance in this film but down the road it’s definitely something that the filmmakers would love to explore. “We talked about it, and decided for the first film it probably wasn’t going to happen,” Leto said during an interview with ComicBookMovie’s Josh Wilding. “There are some pretty great examples in the early comics and ideas of where we could go in the future if we suited up. That could be a lot of fun, actually. I like a lot of those elements. The artwork for me was a great source of inspiration.”

Based on the trailers, Morbius looks to be taking heavy inspiration from the comic books, as the actor said. It looks to be utilizing a lot of shadows, darker lighting and an eerie theme despite being an action film. The film looks creepy, for all intents and purposes, which really fits in line with the titular character. It’s a shame that the costume won’t make an appearance, but many fans can compare Morbius to the Venom movies, where the lead symbiote doesn’t have his iconic Spider symbol.

Many reactions are in for Morbius, but definitely be sure to check it out in order to see if those reactions are accurate or not. There are times when early reactions don’t line up with how the film is actually received or how it’s rated. Hopefully the film does well, so fans can see this character in future projects or spin-offs.

Morbius will be in theaters on April 1st, 2022.
